The Cedar Breaks National Monument Scenic Drive, or Utah Highway 148, runs past some of the most beautiful sights at the national monument. After paying a small entrance fee at the fee booth, make your way around the monument to view these stunning displays:- North View Overlook
- The Yurt and first Alpine Pond trailhead
- Chessman Ridge overlook and second Alpine Pond trailhead
- Sunset View overlook
- Point Supreme Campground and picnic area
- Visitor Center, Point Supreme overlook, and Spectra Point trailhead
Cedar Breaks National Monument Hours
The Cedar Breaks National Monument is open 365 days a year, though weather conditions dictate the status of visitor facilities. The summer and fall seasons are your best bet for taking advantage of everything that the monument has to offer. From late May to mid-October, the Cedar Breaks National Monument Visitor Center is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Ranger Programs, including educational talks and guided hikes, are available regularly. (Check at the Visitor Center for a current schedule.) Point Supreme Campground is open from mid-June to late September, and the Cedar Breaks National Monument Scenic Drive is open until the first snowfall (usually around mid-November).Cedar Breaks is open for winter recreational activities. Winter season begins in mid-October at Cedar Breaks, and typically lasts until Late May or early June. Substantial snow begins to accumulate between late October and mid-November. Make sure to plan for this when scheduling your winter trip.
